First Steps
1. Complete Your Profile Setup
After signing up, you'll go through a quick 4-step onboarding process:
Step 1: Select Account Type
Choose between Artist or Label account
This determines your available features
Step 2: Link Your Profiles
Connect your Spotify artist profile (recommended)
Add your Apple Music artist URL (optional)
This helps ensure accurate distribution
Step 3: Invite Team Members (optional)
Add collaborators with different role levels
You can skip this and add them later
Step 4: Confirmation
Review your setup
Access your dashboard
2. Create Your First Release
Once onboarded, you're ready to create your first release:
Click "New Release" from your dashboard
Upload your artwork (3000x3000 pixels minimum)
Add your tracks (WAV or FLAC format)
Fill in release metadata (title, artists, genre, dates)
Add track credits (writers, producers, etc.)
Review and submit for approval
3. Understanding the Approval Process
All releases go through a quality review before distribution:
Master Accounts: Submit directly to platform admin review
Sub-Accounts (under labels): Submit to label admin first, then platform admin
Review typically takes 1-2 business days
You'll receive notifications at each stage
4. Set Up Royalty Splits
If you're collaborating with others:
Navigate to the Royalties section
Add collaborators to your tracks
Assign percentage shares
Send invitations
Collaborators accept to receive their share
Important Timeline Requirements
Minimum Lead Time: Your release date must be at least 2 weeks in the future from the day you submit.
Pre-order Dates: Must be at least 7 days before the release date (if using pre-orders).
This ensures enough time for:
Quality review and approval
Platform ingestion
Proper distribution scheduling
